Without doubt, some of the most influential artists have come out of France, but the French have impacted our world more than you probably realize with the likes of: Sarah Bernhardt, theatre and film actrice; Claude Monet and impressionism; and the Lumiere brothers who created the first moving picture or 'movie'.
